Anniversary Trip to Vermont

Happy Tuesday!!! I thought today it would be fun to share some pictures from our little getaway to Vermont for our anniversary!
We are usually beach people through and through and have been to the beach four out of five anniversaries so far, but when thinking about this year, we thought something different could be fun. So we threw out some options and landed on the northeast for some fun fall scenery! And let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL! The weather couldn't have been better, the town couldn't have been cuter, we loved our Bed and Breakfast, Jane had the best weekend with my parents, and we were so just thankful for the many blessings that weekend! Here are a few snapshots from our weekend!!
We were up bright and early on Thursday morning and headed to the airport with only my purse as my carry-on, and we couldn't believe how different the flight felt without a little one!
We grabbed some Starbucks and waited out a little delayed flight.
But we eventually made our way to Boston, grabbed our rental car and headed north to Vermont.
The drive through the fall foliage was truly so beautiful, and we loved every minute!
We made it to our sweet Bed and Breakfast just before sundown, and it felt like it was right out of a Hallmark movie!
We freshened up and headed out to some dinner reservations we had a little quaint casual restaurant just outside of town called the Worthy Kitchen. We had a great burger and enjoyed some time just chatting at dinner without our littlest.
The next morning we were up and at'em with the sweetest little served breakfast, coffee and tea the the prettiest view of the acreage that the Bed and Breakfast sat one.
It was truly beautiful!
I grabbed some tea and we took a morning walk around the grounds. It was one of my favorite mornings - just enjoying the fresh morning air, the sweetness of enjoying a full cup of tea, talking with my best friend and just soaking in some quality time. It was definitely a morning to remember!
Just some beautiful fall pictures for your Tuesday morning!
(Also, these shoes are just the absolute best. I got them last year for Christmas and not only are they the most comfortable shoe and go with everything, but they're waterproof too, which was perfect for the morning dew!)
Just truly so picturesque!
We got ready for the day...
And checked in on little Janie sitting on this beautiful front porch and then were off to see the town for the day!
Our first stop was this absolutely adorable little Farmhouse Pottery.
The whole shop was just set up perfectly and the studio where they made the pottery was open for visitors that morning, so Pierce and I got to watch and visit with the potters for a while...nothing will make the Bible come more to life than watching these potters mold the clay in their hands. Such a neat thing! Next time, we may just have to book a class here! It was such a sweet place.
We spent the rest of the morning exploring the sweet town of Woodstock, Vermont. So many little shops perfect little window displays. It really did feel like a Hallmark movie... I'm sure even more so covered in snow at Christmas!
We took a little look at where we had dinner reservations that night - The Prince and The Pauper in the heart of downtown! (It was such a great dinner too - we loved it!)
We ate lunch at their Mon Vert Cafe in town!
It was truly so delicious and the weather outside was perfect!
We had to make our way down to the famous covered bridges!
A Vermont staple for sure!
We grabbed some ice-cream...
Then made our way up to the famous Simon Pearce Glass Blowing. This is the view right outside their shop and studio - truly so pretty!
They have their gift shop upstairs and downstairs you can watch the glass blowing happen in their studio. It was truly amazing and so mesmerizing to watch!
We really could have hung out there all afternoon watching the process of these creations come to life! From pottery to glass blowing, it stirred all of our creative genes for sure!
I almost grabbed this amazing little snowman to bring home with us! It was just speaking to my Christmas-loving heart hahaha They had so many incredible items in their gift shop.
We loved getting to visit!
Stopped for a few beautiful scenes on the drive back.
And loved being back at this sweet and quaint Jackson House Inn.
That night, we loved our dinner at The Prince and The Pauper! They had so many old and quaint copies of the book everywhere in the restaurant. You know I had to start reading it when I got home - a classic I've actually never read before!
Five years with this guy! The very best!
The next morning we had one more amazing breakfast, watched the sun come up through the beautiful trees...
And sat on this bench as we wrote our "Remember Letter," a look back on the past five years and the many blessings and gifts and seasons the Lord has taken us through.
What a true gift these five years have been and what a gift this sweet weekend was! We will always treasure these few days away and our time in Vermont!!

A huge thanks to my sweet parents for loving on Jane for the weekend - I'm not sure who enjoyed themselves more between the two of us, them and Jane! Hahaha It was definitely such a sweet getaway!

Thanks for journeying through the weekend with us, and I hope everyone will make it to Vermont at some point in the fall!! So beautiful! Here's to enjoying the little things, celebrating the big things, and soaking in all the moments in-between!
I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!!
Lots of blessings,
Tabitha
