Friday Favorites 7.9.21

 

Happy Friday!! Well, the Riddick Family Blog's first full week of blogging...thanks for following along! I thought it'd be fun to end the week again with our Friday Favorites. Hope you enjoy and happy weekend!!

My first favorite is my little world of tutoring. I really do love it, even in the summer. It truly feels like what I was meant to do most days. This is my fourth summer tutoring, and it has taken me a while to get my schedule down to a manageable, but enjoyable pace but this summer it feels just right. It's a joy for me to help students understand math, and I thank the Lord so much for the gift of being able to do what I love. 

The next favorite is a fun one! Dearest Delight. Two dear friends have been making this sweet little magazine in honor of the different seasons this past year. I got my last edition in the mail this past week and loved looking through it. Way to go, Alyssa and Anne! You should keep making them because they are too great!! 

In my Amazon Favorites post, I mentioned Pacifica and my favorite lotion. Well, I found this little roll-on perfume at Target the other day and was so excited. The same amazing all-natural summer-smell, but in a tiny purse-size perfume. So fun and such a favorite this week! 

Well, the Tampa Bay Lightning did it! They won the Stanley Cup! It was so fun watching all the games and cheering for them this year. We got to watch a few at my parent's house, and I will say that it was nice watching hockey on a bigger screen haha but the Championship Game was just as fun on this laptop. 

My cousin and his wife had tickets to the game, so they sent pictures and videos of the stadium, which was so fun to see! We all watched the Bucs win the Super Bowl together, so it was fun cheering "with them" for the Bolts! We just need to get the Rays to the top now! Haha 😂⚾️

This next one is a new place that we discovered this week that was so fun to visit. It was like Whole Foods meets a Farm to Table restaurant. Apparently, it's been around for a while, but it was our first time to go, and we loved it!

We tried their house-made ginger kombucha, which was so good and both of our meals were amazing. Herban Market, you were definitely a favorite and we'll be back soon!! 

And my last favorite, rainy mornings at home. We love traveling in the summer, but I'm not sure anything quite tops a rainy day spent at home ❤️
