Our MEXICO Getaway ❤️☀️🌴 [Part Three]

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great weekend. We enjoyed the lazy rainy days over here in Nashville and worked on a few house projects. I thought it’d be fun to start the week out sharing our last few days in Mexico...toward the end of our trip, we definitely were loving the sun and the ocean breeze and getting used to it as a way of life haha! But we were looking forward to being "back in the States" as I would say haha and enjoying a few weeks of summer at home too!

On Thursday, we rented a jet-ski and it was maybe the highlight of our trip. We just laughed and screamed as we rode over some giant waves and just had seriously the best time. (Please note Pierce's soaked shirt because he jumped in the ocean to save my visor that flew off within 30 seconds hahaha he's the best!)

We joked that we started out 2021 on a snowmobile in Wyoming and half way through the year were on a jet-ski in the Caribbean.
Not to mention our little dingy that we rode on our honeymoon....safe to say we know what we enjoy doing on trips! Bahaha 😂 Give us the fast speeds and wind in our hair, and we'll be happy!!
After our adventure, it was back to reading and the good life. I think the people at the resort finally were starting to understand Pierce had meant it when he said we were pretty much beachbums haha
This was the sunset over the bay behind our hotel...seriously just gorgeous.
On Thursday night, we showered for dinner and decided to try the Italian restaurant, which ended up being our favorite of the whole week.
I love this man and loved this night so much.
It was extremely difficult to get a picture without it being blurry out on the beach with the wind and the storm rolling in, but this reminds me of some blurry and romantic old-timey shot, so I thought I'd keep it in here just for fun!
We finally snagged a picture inside, and it might be one of my favorites from our whole trip. I loved this night - wearing a little black beach dress, sitting outside by the water and in the windy air, and we ate our best dinner the whole trip this night! We had an arugula salad, an Italian dinner, and finished the night with sparkling water, tiramisu and amaretto ice-cream. A night I won't soon forget!!
Our last day started out just the same with our favorite morning routine. We drank our tea and coffee while reading and journaling with the waves and worship music and ocean breeze all making it feel like the morning just couldn't be better.
We bought a few souvenirs that last day, including this little Mexico bracelet 🇲🇽
Probably at least once every afternoon, Pierce would fall asleep for his afternoon nap...usually I am the napper and the ocean breeze was hard to resist...
...but I loved the turned-tables though ☺️
That last night, we stayed until as late as we possibly could. I finished my book, Pierce took a few naps, and we soaked up the last evening of amazing beach air and weather.
We hadn't gotten in the pools much throughout the week because there were always people in them during the day, but this last night, we couldn't resist the empty infinity pools with the amazing sky in the background.
We hopped in and snapped a picture and enjoyed some of the sunset and the beautiful colors in the sky that night.
We enjoyed our last dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant again Friday night.
I didn't even ask for this picture...we were walking and as we passed this giant mirror, Pierce stopped to snap one. It made me laugh and smile and think once again that he's the best husband, especially to this picture-loving girl 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
The next morning, we were up bright and early and headed to the Cancún airport and back to Nashville! We are just so thankful for this amazing trip and the week that we got to spend away...reading, resting, soaking up the sun and ocean breeze and praying for our family. We hope this trip always holds a special place in our hearts as we continue to faithfully walk wherever our next season takes us...
Cancún, you really were one for the books!

Thanks for following along in our journey and on this trip! We hope it was sweet to be able to share a few little snapshots and blessings from our time away. We would love any tips or advice on where we should adventure next!

We'll post more soon!
Love y'all!
Tab and Pierce
