Three Things - February Edition

Happy Monday!! Hope you guys had a great weekend!! We loved a little sunshine in our weekend over here, and we loved having some family in town too. It was such a nice treat from our grey and overcast January! I thought today would be fun to do a little Three Things post...just three things going on with all three of us! 

Hope you enjoy a small little update for your Monday morning!!! Here's to having a great start to the week! 

Oh, Sweet Little Jane... 

1. Jane is officially 10 MONTHS old as of yesterday!!!! Somebody please come pinch me! How will we have a one year old in two short months?! I am just loving, loving, loving watching this little girl grow, but I'm also realizing everyone is so right about it going so fast...I'm only 10 months in and I'm realizing that to be more true than ever. 

2. This little one is also starting to eat so much more, and it's a really sweet stage. It makes all those early meals of her experimenting with food so much more worth it now that she's actually enjoying and eating lots of the foods we give her. It's also sweet to have a little buddy for lunch or a late breakfast after Pierce leaves for work! 

3. Let me tell you, this little girl can get places...fast. She can crawl pretty much anywhere and scoot her way side-stepping throughout our whole house...she's just now starting to try to stand on her own and work on taking steps forward...ahh! It's so sweet and so crazy all at the same time!! 

And Pierce... 

1. Pierce is still swimming for some of his workouts and is loving them. He was gifted a Zygo for Christmas and if you have anyone in your family who is a swimmer, this is the best gift. It's a way to listen to music from your phone underwater while you swim and is connected via bluetooth so he can stream any playlist/podcast/audiobook etc, and it's pretty amazing!! He's loving it, and I have decided I might just borrow it a time or two this summer haha 

2. He's also a big reader and has already gone through a few books this year...it's one of our favorite things to do at night - sip on a cup of tea and read a good book... 

3. Speaking of sipping on tea, we love ourselves a good card game or two as well and a recent favorite has been Hand and Foot and let me tell you...for some reason, this game loves Pierce and Pierce loves this game. We've played so much since Christmas break, and I think he has won 95% of the games... It's still a fun one though, and I'll take a night of cards regardless of being in the other 5% hahaha

And over here for Tab...

1. These days, I'm really loving Pilates. Last spring, I won a pack of eight classes and am just now starting to use them. Pierce has been a champ and has been hanging out with Jane early on Monday mornings while he gets ready for work and then will meet me after our class so that we can switch cars. He'll head to work and Jane and I will get our day started, and I love that sweet rhythm that January brought... We'll see how long this season lasts, but I'm hoping we can make it part of our routine for a while... 

2. Another routine that I'm really loving these days is our Friday morning... A friend told me a while back that she loves cleaning/getting her house ready for the weekend on Friday so she can rest and enjoy the weekend without having to think about/do all of the household chores that Saturday and Sunday can bring. I thought that was such a great idea and in January, I started getting the vacuum out on Friday mornings after Jane woke up and the rest is history... It's now one of my favorite times of the weeks. I love the reward after of having a clean and fresh house heading into the weekend, and I think it's really blessed our Saturdays and Sundays too. Hopefully it's a blessing and rhythm that can continue even with our ever-changing seasons.

3. And really, I'm just loving the month of February. We have our small group coming over tonight, and I've loved brainstorming sweet little decorations and desserts that can make the month of February a little more fun!
