Frame This Moment.

Happy Thursday!!! Pierce and I are looking forward to a fun dinner out tonight!! And then so looking forward to a long weekend too! Today, I thought it would be fun to share a Frame This Moment from this day two years ago. It definitely was a moment to frame in our minds...

February 2021, we headed down to Dallas right before Valentine's Day to say goodbye to Pierce's childhood home that his parents were putting on the market and spend time with his mom on her birthday. What we didn't know was that we would be traveling in one of the biggest snow and ice storms to sweep the country in quite a while...

We had seen the forecast, but as it got closer, we started wondering if we would be able to get back to Nashville as we had planned, and sure enough...our flight ended up being canceled...along with the next seven or eight that they kept rebooking us for... We made the most of it and celebrated Valentine's Day in Dallas, made enormous amounts of puppy chow, watched Amazing Race, worked on puzzles, and walked Pierce's childhood streets covered in snow. But we knew there was another huge snow storm on the way and a small window of time for us to try to make it back to Nashville. After all flights continued to be canceled, we found a 4x4 Jeep Wrangler to rent and decided to start making the trek home driving instead of flying... And it's a memory we won't soon forget. Most of the highways were open, plowed, and clear, but there were spots that were icy and what would normally take us about nine hours, took us the better half of twelve or thirteen.
This picture also deserves to be framed from that day because we had officially made it back to the Nashville airport to return the Jeep and grab Pierce's truck... What I won't mention is somehow I made the wrong turn at the rental car place and the road took me straight to the highway, so there I was at 11:30pm after having not driven all day to trying to navigate Pierce's truck back to the airport to pick him up. 🤦🏼‍♀️ We were definitely so glad and thankful to be home that night and settled in just in time for the second round of snow and ice. It's still such a sweet memory to look back on though... I know so many were affected from this storm, so I hope you look back on this week on February with fond memories too! It's one we won't soon forget haha I wrote a little bit more about that day and trip here. But it felt like the perfect Frame This Moment today.

I am loving this little series! Thanks for following along and for sharing yours too!!
I'll plan on seeing you back here tomorrow!!
Blessings,
Tabitha
