A Look at a Few of Our Favorite Trips

Happy Wednesday!!! I had my calendar all off last week and posted today's Let's Look about Travel Tips last Wednesday - you can read all about them here, including how we applied for Jane's passport! But today in the spirit of traveling, I thought it would be fun to just take a look back at a few of our favorite trips!
Pierce and I love traveling when we can and there's so many places we'd love to go, but here are a few that have become favorites! Some I've blogged about and others I didn't, (and I've even included a few before Pierce and me!) but hope you love this little walk down our traveling memory lane!

Israel
This definitely had to be the first one on here because this trip truly became just such a favorite. Pierce and I both had the privilege of going to Israel with the Leadership/ Discipleship Program we did after college, and it was such an incredible two weeks! We weren't dating at the time, but loved getting to see the pages of the Bible come to life in such a real way!
It's also where sweet Jane's middle name came from...you can read a little bit more about that here. :)
And Pierce was actually baptized in the Jordan River while we were over there! (And his sweet parents were on the trip too - long before they were in my in-laws 😉)

St. Kitts
Fast forward a few years later, and we honeymooned in St. Kitts and Nevis, which we just loved so much!!
We stayed in this adorable, picturesque cottage that Pierce found and learned so much that trip! (Including scheduling taxis, water taxis, grocery shopping in an unknown grocery store, walking "home" on dirt roads, and to always show up in another country with cash on hand 😂)
We wouldn't change these memories for the world though! And these islands have the most beautiful beaches and water if you're looking for a sweet place to visit!!

California
A few months after we were married, we booked tickets to go see my brother and his wife in California!! We loved our visit out there so much!! It was our first "real trip" that we planned, bought tickets for, rented an airbnb (that wasn't on a remote island 😂) and got to see where Lukas and Marissa did life out there!!
We also loved that we got to drive through Napa and see this sweet Vineyard where the Parent Trap was filmed...it's the second time I've been there and love it so very much. Another dream is so see their sweet house in London...one day!!
Take us back to those blue skies and perfect weather!! We loved that trip!!

Destin
Oh, Destin. We've been to this sweet place way too many times to count and love it every time! This sweet picture was one of the first times we went and got to see the house were we were getting married! We had the ceremony on the beach and the reception in the backyard. It was perfect and so sweet and made us love the beach all the more. You can read a little more about that here. :)
We went back for our anniversary the next year and a few years after that too.
And then of course we went back to the beach last fall too with my sweet family.
And little Jane got to experience the beach for the first time!!
She loved it, and we all did too! You can read a little more about that week here. :)

Cancun
Summer of 2021, Pierce and I had been saving/dreaming about a little Europe trip, but covid changed those plans to a week in Cancun, which we loved so much!!
We had the best time, from just reading on the beach...
To quiet mornings reading and journaling...
To fun dinners out... It was just such a fun week. You can see a little more of that trip here

I think my favorite part of that trip though was this special night that we set aside to pray for our family. It's just a sweet memory that we will always hold close to our hearts!!

DC
This fun city has held a few of our favorite trips.
We got to visit Pierce's brother and sister-in-law summer 2020, which you can read about here
Then we got to go back two years later with Jane to meet her cousin Lucy! You can read about that trip here. Both were so sweet and definitely favorites!!

Jackson
Jackson is another sweet favorites of ours! Pierce's parents have a house out there, and we've been blessed to visit throughout the last several years.
Yellowstone was definitely a favorite!!
And so was seeing Wyoming in the winter!!
And it was extra sweet taking Jane out there last year too!! You can read a lot about Jackson here and our sweet trip with Jane last summer here

Texas
And it wouldn't be right not to include Texas on here! We love visiting Pierce's family down there when we can, especially at his family's ranch outside of San Antonio. Jane got to go for Thanksgiving this past year, and it's always a favorite!!

Belize
And lastly, of course, Belize. Pierce's parents took us on a Sailing Vacation to celebrate his mom's 60th birthday, and it was trip for the books for sure. You can read all about it here. :)

And just for bonus fun - here are a few snapshots from a few favorites even further down the memory lane before "The Riddicks..."

Before Pierce and I were dating, I had the privilege of going on a few mission trips, both in high school and college. They were amazing and life-changing and for many of my teenage years, I would have told you I was going to teach overseas. God had different plans, but my heart still loves so many of the countries I visited, people I met, and the sweetness that comes with sharing Christ's love to those that don't know him.
High school was marked by two trips to the Dominican Republic and one to Jamaica, and I still look back on them with the fondest of memories.
Then in college, my sweet roommate and I were so blessed to go to the Middle East and teach english at the sweetest school.
We went with our discipleship group leader and her husband and several others from our college ministry at our church in Birmingham, and I fell in love with Jordan while I was there!!
Then six months later, we somehow convinced our parents to let us go to China with the same ministry and couldn't have been more excited. It had been somewhere I had longed to go for so long, and we both love looking back on theses trips and all that God did through them - they are always so much more than just trips when they have such a sweet purpose behind them!!

And there you go...just a few of our favorite trips and a few bonus from Tabitha's college days too 😂 Where have been some of your favorites?! Anything we need to add to our bucket-list?! We have quite the list going, so hopefully there will be many more adventures in our future!!

Thanks for following along as always!! I'll plan to see you back here tomorrow!!
Here's to walking down memory lane and fun adventures traveling!! (And just incase you're interested, you can check out all of my "traveling" posts in one spot here. ☺️)
Lots of blessings,
