This and That

Hi there!! Happy Thursday!! It's our favorite day of the week over here and today, I just have a little this and a little that for your September morning!! 

A big thank you to all of your suggestions and help yesterday in our organizing dilemma over here - I gathered so many amazing ideas, and now - it's just putting them into practice. ☺️ I'll be sure to keep you updated on the process for sure! 

Here's just a little randomness for you today about us over here these days... 

Coffee Shops and Checkers

When we were in Louisville this past weekend, we snuck out while Jane napped one day to go to Pierce's favorite coffee spot in Louisville. He gets their beans shipped to our house sometimes, so when we can go in person, it's all the more fun! 

The sun came out when we showed up, and I randomlyyy had picked up this Checkers set at Cracker Barrel a few weeks ago and it was in the back of our car, so we grabbed it and had a fun little impromptu date. 

It was such a sweet memory. A good friend of ours says they like playing, whether it's themselves or with one of their kids, where every time you make a jump, you can ask a question, like "Tell me about a time when you felt ____" or "What's been your favorite ____." We thought that was a fun idea, but there was so much strategy going on in our heads, we definitely did not have capacity for any deep questions hahaha Sharing the idea though incase you like to play Checkers at your house. ☺️

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 

Oh, we love us some Buccaneers. We loved getting to cheer on the Bucs on Sunday night with my dad. He and my mom grew up in Tampa, so they're tried and true and he raised us to love them too 😂 We adopted Pierce into the mix and my best friend Elizabeth comes and watches as many games with us as she can too. Who knows how their season will end up, but we'll be cheering them on over here!! 

And Little Jane will be too 😉 

September.

In my mind, September is a month of the seasons colliding... a little summer and a little fall... When I walked out on the patio of my parent's house, I thought it was the perfect picture - some fall colors and even some leaves starting to be on the ground, mixed with the blue of the pool and the open summer umbrellas...we're soaking in this sweet month and looking forward to our sweet October coming soon. 

Old Routines...

This girl loves herself a good routine, and it seems like one way to change up all your routines is to have a baby 😉 And have a little career shift at the same time, so we always like to deem September our routine and rhythm month... When I was teaching, it felt like the right time to try to start getting things on a good path for the school year. And this year, we have tried to start adding some things back in, one is our love for some good exercise. We've been headed back to our sweet morning crew just on Fridays, and it's been the best. Maybe one day soon we'll try to add back in Monday or Wednesday too, but for now, we are loving the simplicity of just one good old routine in our systems. 

Grandparents. 

There's something sweet about watching our parents love on Jane...and this weekend was full of sweet little moments. 💛

Evening Walks... 

I love this guy and love catching up and processing with him after a long day...whether it's just on a simple walk around our neighborhood with the stroller or at the park or even over a cup of tea...it's the best. Wouldn't want to be walking through this season with anyone else!
