Two of My Best Laundry Finds

Happy Monday!!! For the first time in quite a while, we are starting this Monday off feeling a *tiny* bit more ready for the week. We spent the weekend soaking up a lot of rest, time with family and time getting things in order around here.

As I was catching up on *so much* laundry 😂 I started thinking that it would be fun to share my two best laundry finds that I've been using pretty much on repeat these days. It's nothing spectacular or too life changing, and I can't wait to hear your best laundry finds too, but I thought I'd share mine today. Sometimes the smallest joys are found in small everyday life things for me, so... here you go! I hope this helps next time you are looking for something to add to your laundry repertoire.
I sent this to my family this weekend as I was folding some laundry... I try to live out my mom's rule of always folding as you take out of the dryer, but this load ended up on our bed, and it cracked me up how Jane was starting at it....honestly, looks a lot like my face normally hahaha
We try to do a lot of things as naturally as we can, without too many chemicals, etc, and these two things I have found that seem to be pretty clean and also work extremely well.
I've been using "Bronner's" as we call it around here since before I can remember, and let me tell you, it can truly get out ANYTHING. I've told so many people about it and have gotten off pretty much everything you can think of from our clothes, carpets, bedspreads, friend's clothings, and just love it. It's pure castile soap, and you just rub it on the stain with some water, and after a bit of rubbing, it usually comes off looking as new as ever.

Dr. Bronner's comes in so many different smells, we love the lavendar and almond, but you can get peppermint, citrus, rose, unscented etc. It's just a good soap to have around for anything and everything you might need cleaning wise.
And this second is a new one since Jane came along, but wow. I probably use this multiple times a week. I haven't come across anything yet that this hasn't gotten out. Anything that has any type of stain, I can rub some of this on it, soak it in warm water for 20-30 minutes, and up to overnight, and it's almost always gone.
At this point, I also just add a little scoop to most of our loads too. It has worked wonders for us... Especially on Jane's clothes... We'll see if it lives the test of time once she's running around outside, but for now, it's been great!!

And there you have it...
Two very random items, but both a game changer in the laundry world at the Riddicks.

What tips/go-tos do you use?! I'd love to know!! And I hope this helps if you're looking for something to help you get some stains out with using a few less chemicals.... Very exciting things going on around here, right?! Hahaha

Hope your Monday morning starts off so well and that your laundry is piled a little less high this week! 😉

I'll see you back here tomorrow!

  2. We use DROPPS and LOVE love love their pods! Clean ingredients and so convenient! We also use dryer balls with essential oils on it - ditch those laundry sheets, friends. XO - a kinda "crunchy" mom LOL!! but really! My favorite find lately was a collapsing plastic laundry bin at Aldi - we collapse it and it fits in the tiny space between our washer and dryer and it frees up shelving space in the laundry room or closet because typically, they are so bulky! Can also be found on amazon, just cheaper at Aldi lol!! Happy Monday!

    1. Alisha, thank you for this!!!! I had never actually heard of DROPPS, but love finding new brands that are in our wheelhouse!! Thank you!! And yes!! My mom uses those dryer balls - maybe I need to get some too... We've never been a huge fan of dryer sheets, but so fun to know you love all things natural too ☺️ I'm sure we could do some brand swapping for sure!! And what a great find!!! I just looked those up because I think it sounds perfect for the few "catch all things" in our laundry room and then to be able to put the basket away!! What a great idea!! Thanks always for your many great suggestions ☺️☺️☺️
