Sur La Table

Happy Tuesday!!! We are in full swing of getting back into a normal week with lots of tutoring, meetings at work for Pierce and fun nights on the calendar. I hope you all are having a great week and enjoying the last few days of summer or the first days of school too! Today I thought it would be fun to document a sweet little date night that Pierce planned last week at Sur La Table.

I think I've mentioned this before, but Pierce is an amazing chef. He is so creative and that creativity comes out so vividly in the kitchen. He had mentioned earlier this year that he wanted to try to find a cooking class that he could go to at some point. Well...fast forward to last Friday night, and he had planned a whole night for one! 

Pierce had texted one of my best friends from Louisville about coming down to watch Jane for a date night he had planned. She made the drive and hung with Jane for the night while we headed to Sur La Table. 

Like old times :)

We made it to the cutest little place with the most fun little kitchen.

Our place in the kitchen was already set up for us...with aprons and name tags and all. 

That night was "Italian Date Night," so there was an amazing salad and grilled steak on the menu with grilled zucchini and pesto, with berries and sabayon for dessert - so amazing!! 

I took the zucchinis and Pierce nailed the steak...

We were loving learning some fun new tricks and just a night out doing something together! 

Last year, he surprised me with a Painting Date Night (I blogged about that in the Life Lately here,) and this summer it was cooking! Makes for a fun and different kind of date night!

And truly just had the best time. Sur La Table, we're coming back to you soon for some macaroons! Until then, we can't recommend it enough for a fun little date night out!!
